The Adamawa state police command have stopped a peaceful protest organised by the state Christian Association of Nigeria. The group had planned to stage the protest to register their displeasure over the level of insecurity in Nigeria.

The CAN Chairman in the state, Bishop Stephen Mamza, told the Christians who had gathered for the protest as early as 9am, that the protest would no longer hold as the police has called for its cancellation.

The Christian body had planned to march to the state governorment house where they would present a petition to the governor, Mohammed Jibrilla,. who would then present it to president Buhari.
