Pedophile planned gang rape of boy, 3, for online perverts

Pedophile planned gang rape of boy, 3, for online perverts

A pedophile tried to arrange the gang rape of a three-year-old boy by using online messaging apps.
The criminal with the username "Horrible Nick" on the messaging app was caught out by undercover police. Nicholas Murphy, 45, used app Kik Messenger to discuss his sick fantasies with other pedophiles, and even promised one man he could arrange to bring a three-year-old for them to sexually abuse together.
Fortunately, before Murphy of Speke in Liverpool could carry out his evil plan he was arrested after a group of 10 pedophiles who used the anonymous messaging program was infiltrated by undercover police. Officers traced his location and swooped on his previous address in Cheshire. Police searched his phone and found two sets of chat history with two different men, as well as chat history from the group of 10.
The father of the 3-year-old boy he had selected as his victim said: "It was just horrible. It makes you feel sick. They read to us the chat history of his conversations on Kik Messenger and there were graphic details of what he wanted to do to my child."
He added: "Knowing that it was all being planned, you can’t help but imagine what might have happened to your son, had it not all been stopped."

Murphy was arrested in September, 2016 and his court date was delayed four times due to psychiatric examinations.
After initially pleading not guilty, he changed his plea to guilty.
On February 15, at Liverpool Crown Court, Judge Rachael Smith sentenced Murphy to three years’ imprisonment for three counts of attempting to arrange or facilitate the commission of a child sex offence. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for life, and issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
